Knowing Good from Evil

Wherefore, I beseech of you, brethren, that ye should search diligently in the light of Christ that ye may know good from evil; and if ye will lay hold upon every good thing, and condemn it not, ye certainly will be a child of Christ.

Moroni's Question:

"How is it possible that ye can lay hold upon every good thing?" (Moroni 7:21)

Moroni's Answer:

"Wherefore, by the ministering of angels, and by every word which proceeded forth out of the mouth of God, men began to excercise faith in Christ, and thus by faith, they did lay hold upon every good thing and thus it was..."  (Moroni 7:25)

Good Things:

"And they who have faith in Him will cleave unto EVERY good thing" (Moroni 7:28)

"But Behold that which is of God INVITETH to do good continually; wherefore every thing which inviteth and ENTICETH to do good, and to love God and to serve Him is inspired of God."

Is It Good or Evil?

"The Spirit of Christ is given unto every [person] that he may know good from evil, wherefore i show unto you the way to judge; for every thing which inviteth to do good, and to persuade to believe  in Christ, is sent forth by the power and gift of Christ; wherefore ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of God.
But whatsoever thing persuadeth men to do evil, and believe not in Christ, and deny him and serve not God, then ye may know with a perfect knowledge it is of the devil..." (Moroni 7:16-17)

Concluding Thoughts:

Deciphering the intentions of a person is impossible without the Holy Ghost to help us to discern between good and evil. The sin is condemned not the Sinner. Is the message about Christ? The message should also be about becoming more like Christ, seeing life through the same perspective as Christ's example indicates, that we love one another. Most importantly, we have been blessed with the Gift of the Holy Ghost "and by the power of the Holy Ghost ye will KNOW the truth of all things". Nothing is more vital than having the companionship of the Holy Ghost, look to see if the message in question invites you to have the Holy Ghost or not.
